What is CHAE’s handmade vinegar?

Produced using natural fermentation methods, CHAE’s handmade vinegar is unfiltered and unpasteurized vinegar, free from any additives or preservatives. It has a cloudy appearance and may contain some sediment. This sediment in raw vinegar is called the "mother," which consists of beneficial acetic acid bacteria and cellulose that form naturally during the fermentation process.  


What are some of the health benefits of Vinegar?  

Moderate consumption of vinegar has been associated with several health benefits such as 1) Aiding weight loss 2) Reducing cholesterol 3) Lowering blood sugar levels 4) Improving the symptoms of diabetes.  


How can I incorporate vinegar into my daily diet?  

There are many ways you can consume vinegar every day. 1) Revitalise your day. Dilute 1-2 tablespoons of vinegar in a glass of water and drink it in the morning. 2) Transform your salads with a splash of tangy homemade vinegar dressing, adding flavor and health benefits to your daily meals. 3) Elevate your dishes with a homemade vinegar, infusing them with bold flavors and a touch of acidity.  


Things to keep in mind when consuming vinegar:

Vinegar is highly acidic. It is recommended to dilute it before consumption. 1 to 2 tablespoons (15ml -30ml) per day is generally considered safe. Excessive consumption of vinegar can lead to side effects including stomach upset, and erosion of tooth enamel. It's always a good idea to consult with a healthcare professional before making any significant changes to your diet.

  • Store in a cool, dry place. Keep away from heat sources to avoid excessive temperature changes. Unpasteurized vinegar may change its flavor over time due to natural oxidation and ongoing fermentation. Please note that due to the variable acetic acid content, this homemade vinegar is not suitable for pickling. Shake gently before use.
