Easily make acorn jelly

도토리묵 쉽게 만들기


Acorn flour 1cup

Water 5cups

Salt 1/2Tbs

Sesame oil 1Tbs



1. In a large pot, combine acorn powder and water for Dotorimuk


2. The ratio is acorn powder:water = 1:5

3. Add salt

4. Stir with a whisk and strain to remove any lumps

5. Stir over medium heat about 10 mins until it bubbles

6. Lower the heat and add sesame oil

7. Stir with a spectacular another 10mins

8. Leave the acorn jelly from the heat, Cover the lid and wait another 10mins

9. Pour the mixture into a rectangular container and let it cool down

10. Wrap the top so that the surface does not dry out

11. Put it into the fridge for about 4hours until its cold

12. Turn the container upside down over your cutting board so the solidified jelly slides out in one piece

13. Cut into bite sized pieces






It stays fresh for one day but I would recommend making it in a small portion

so you don’t keep it for too long.


We had a crack at making a acorn jelly today.

Next time we will use this pudding to make seafood broth acorn jelly.
